Want to Be An Exhibitor?

Sorry, Food applications for 2024 are closed

(Note, we’re leaving this page up for reference purposes, but all food booths have been taken. Please use the contact form if you would like  information for the 2025 expo.)

We have two spots left in the following areas: Retail, Services, and Non-Profit. See each section below for specific information. Regardless of the area of interest, ALL products you sell/promote must be vegan. You don’t have to be a vegan business, but anything you bring to the expo must be entirely free from animal products.

For food vendors, that means no meat, eggs, dairy, honey, insects (usually used in dyes). There are some oddball food ingredients so don’t be shy about asking.

For retail, the above restrictions would apply to packaged foods, but also your products cannot include other animal derivatives such as leather, wool, silk, bone, seashells, etc.

If you offer services or are a non-profit, you would obviously not promote or do anything to intentionally cause animal harm.

We are happy to answer any specific questions you have!

Food

We are of the opinion that the more food the better!

Selling food to the public has to be safe, so the Peoria County Health Department  and the Peoria Civic Center both have some requirements. Don’t worry, we will fill you in about what’s required when we get your application.

At a very high level, both restaurants and cottage food producers are welcome to apply. Generally the rules that apply to this event are similar to what applies to farmer’s markets. However, because it is indoors, no open flames or generators may be used. Here’s a link to their event application: Temporary-Food-Stand-Application-Packet (pcchd.org)

Booth cost for food vendors is $200 and includes a 10×10 space, an 8-foot table with tablecloth and skirting, 2 chairs, and a name sign. Electricity is available for an additional cost and must be requested in advance.

Retail

Shopping is part of the fun at the expo!

If you are selling non-food items, it’s pretty simple: make sure your things are vegan and bring lots of them to sell to a bunch of interested buyers.

If you are selling packaged/labeled food items that are not ready to eat, you’re a retail vendor. (But health department rules still apply.) If you’re not sure in which category you belong, please reach out and we’ll sort it out.

Booth cost for retail vendors is $150 and includes a 10×10 space, an 8-foot table with tablecloth and skirting, 2 chairs, and a name sign. Electricity is available for an additional cost and must be requested in advance.

Services

If knowledge and skills are your product, you’re selling services.

We just ask that whatever services you offer are vegan. For example, a tattoo company should offer vegan ink, a massage therapist should only have lanolin-free creams, a nutrition consultant should be skilled in plant-based diets. While impossible to list every scenario for every service, we count on you to know your audience and tailor your messages (and perhaps pictures in your booth) for the Plant Based Peoria Expo.

Booth cost for service vendors is $150 and includes a 10×10 space, an 8-foot table with tablecloth and skirting, 2 chairs, and a name sign. Electricity is available for an additional cost and must be requested in advance.

Non-Profit

Thank you for everything you do to make the world a better place for humans and the other animals we share this planet with.

We are happy to have you at this event to show off the good things you do. Of course your charity must either benefit animals (or if you’re not an animal-focused charity, you should do them no harm). It’s sort of self evident isn’t it?

Booth cost for non-profits is $75 and includes a 10×10 space, an 8-foot table with tablecloth and skirting, 2 chairs, and a name sign. Electricity is available for an additional cost and must be requested in advance.
